Overall Business Objective

· Provide a high standard service to Employment Directions’ participants, Department of Education and the community

· Provide a range of quality services to assist participants in case management, wellbeing, education, further education

· Respond to the needs of highly disadvantaged participants on Employment Direction’s caseload’s and within the Community

Primary Responsibility - of the role

Facilitate participant outcomes

Contribute to the organisation through compliance with policy and contractual obligations

Retain a high profile, successful , training and youth agency

Achieve targets

Provide appropriate assessment - case management and support

Provide excellence in case management and customer service

Report all hazards, risk or injury immediately to CEO

Align with the Employment Directions Quality Assurance Systems, the National Principals for Child Safe and take responsibility for the instigation of continuous improvement within the scope of your role and within the Employment Directions organisational framework.

Primary Function – of the role

Manage a caseload

Provide factual, consistent and regular file notes

Transport clients to a variety of destinations

Coordinate and facilitate group activates – where applicable

Facilitate case management support to clients receiving ED youth services

Conduct interviews with young people in order to identify, plan and action individual pathways

Assess and implement active engagement strategies

Negotiate, plan, refer and action education and social inclusion strategies which achieve outcomes

Refer the young person to a range of appropriate support , were relevant to wellbeing, mental health, all other network and services as required

Skills/Knowledge/Experience

Essential Criteria

In this role you will possess/demonstrate the following:

Certificate 4 - Youth Work or similar is a must e.g. Youth Justice

Working with Children Check

First Aid

Child safe Environment through their eyes

An ability to facilitate outcomes with young people

An ability to apply innovative case management strategies

Proven excellence in case management and customer service

Outstanding organisational and time management skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

A proven ability to motivate and challenge individuals or groups

Competent in the use Microsoft Office programs – (Excel, Word and Internet)

Competent in the application of quality assurance and continuous improvement principles and practices

An ability to comply with legislative requirements and company policy

Knowledge of current local labour markets and trends

· A DCSI Clearance before commencement and then ongoing

RRHAN certificate before commencement and then ongoing

A current driver’s licence
