About the Team
The CFO function provides finance, IT, payroll, procurement, and risk support to help frontline teams deliver essential community services.
Acting as trusted advisers, the team partners across the organisation to support informed decision-making, maintain operational reliability, and drive system and process improvements aligned to strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the CFO, the Finance Officer will:
Process accounts payable/receivable, reimbursements, and credit card reconciliations
Oversee expense management systems and support payroll/timesheet coordination
Maintain accurate supplier, customer, and financial master data
Support bank reconciliations, month-end journals, and audit preparation
Provide support to the CFO during end-of-year audits, including collating financial information for external auditors
Track and manage grant-related invoicing and sundry income
Respond to supplier queries and assist with finance projects as required
Qualifications & Experience
2+ years’ plus experience in accounts payable and receivable
Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting systems
High accuracy in data entry, reconciliations, and reporting
Strong time management with ability to prioritise workloads
Confident communicator and collaborative team player
Comfortable working independently and learning new systems
Experience in the not-for-profit sector
Hybrid working is available, with an initial expectation of 3 days in the office and 2 from home. Over time, this may shift to 2 days in the office and 3 from home, depending on team needs and performance.
