Our client is a reputable retail business based in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, who are looking for immediate support within their accounts support team.

About the role

This position is a 3-month full-time contract role working 3 days out of their office in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne and 2 days working from home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable and Receivable processes, ensuring accuracy across supplier payments and customer invoicing.
• Process invoices, payment runs, and debtor collections within required timeframes.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations, keeping ledgers clean and up to date
• Handle daily transactional duties in MYOB, including data entry, coding, and allocations.
• Liaise with external stakeholders to manage account queries and maintain positive working relationships
• Assist with month-end processes, reconciliations, and general financial tasks as required.
• Oversee distribution-related accounts and support the wider business operations team.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth financial processes.

About you

• Experience in Accounts Payable and Receivable functions with good understanding of accounting procedures.
• High level of attention to detail with proven level of quality and accuracy of work.
• Exposure to MYOB software.
• Strong reconciliation skills.
• Proactive research, analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks in a high volume, fast paced environment.
• True team player.
• Intermediate level of Word and Excel.
