About the role

We are seeking 2 passionate and hardworking Kitchenhand / Sandwich Hands to join our thriving Gourmet Deli in Paddington, QLD. These are casual positions, with regular and ongoing day time shifts (3-5 shifts per week). As key members of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in supporting the chefs and ensuring our commercial kitchen is clean and well organised.

What you'll be doing may include

Ensuring the work area, equipment, and utensils are kept clean and sanitised at all times

Restocking and maintaining the orderly presentation of the produce within our commercial kitchen

Weighing & vacuum packaging meals for sale within our Deli

Assisting the kitchen team with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients

Preparing a variety of sandwiches, wraps, and other deli items to our high standards

Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations

Delivery of catering orders on an ad-hoc basis if required

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a similar kitchenhand or sandwich hand role is preferred but not essential

A keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately

A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team

Good communication and customer service skills

A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety
