About the role

We are seeking 2 experienced, passionate chefs to join our team at Rosalie Gourmet Market in Paddington, Queensland. As an Experienced Chef in the on-site commercial kitchen which supports our Gourmet Deli, you will play a vital role in creating and delivering exceptional seasonal, gourmet meals and catering offerings for our discerning customers. This is an ongoing casual position with regular / consistent day time hours, and a permanent position is also an option.

One position is as Sous Chef and the other is as a junior chef.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and cooking a variety of gourmet meals and dishes for our deli

Preparation of catering orders on-site within our premises

Collaborating with the team to develop innovative seasonal menus and recipes

Ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation and consistency

Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment

Contributing to a positive team culture

What we're looking for

Sous chef requires a minimum of 5-7 years as a chef. Junior chef requires a minimum 2 years' experience as a chef or cook in a similar gourmet or high-quality food environment

Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and pricing.

Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen

Excellent time management and organisational skills

Passion for creating delicious, visually appealing gourmet catering & meals

Outstanding communication and customer service skills

Flexible and adaptable to changing demands and priorities

Food safety and hygiene certification
