Habitat Noosa, is situated 25 minutes North of Noosa. We have a range of accommodation styles from camping to Luxurious glamping tents. Our on site Bistro and Brewery operates 7 days a week providing delicious, affordable meals and unique craft beers created on site using our own Artesian water supply.

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and energetic casual Kitchen Hand to support our busy kitchen team. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment.

You will be required to work Wednesday - Saturday 4pm until close (approx 8-8.30pm)

More hours may be available for the right candidate.

Must have own transport and live within a 45 minute drive of Habitat Noosa.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in food preparation by washing, peeling, chopping, and preparing ingredients.

Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.

Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils using industrial dishwashers or by hand.

Dispose of kitchen waste in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Ensure all kitchen areas are kept clean, organized, and sanitized.

Assist with stock rotation and storage of ingredients.

Support chefs and kitchen staff with ad hoc tasks as required.

Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude with team members and management.

Skills and Qualifications:

Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential.

Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Physical ability to lift and carry heavy items.

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Flexibility to work varying shifts.
