From our Bundaberg based monitoring centre, Rechenberg monitors alarms Australia wide and internationally. Due to continued growth we are looking for someone to join our team as a Monitoring Centre Operator in our Bundaberg office.

No previous experience is required, although it would be advantageous if you have previous alarm monitoring experience or currently hold a Queensland Monitoring Security or Queensland Security Guard Licence.

This role would be ideal for someone who has a proven ability to work unsupervised as well as part of a team, is an analytical thinker, has great problem solving skills, high attention to detail with good use of initiative, excellent communication and customer relations skills, eager to learn, ability to deal with pressure, strong all round administration skills and computer literacy in Microsoft applications.

Rosters

Our control room operators work 3 days on, 3 days off, 3 nights on, 3 days off rosters. The shifts are 12 hours, 0600 to 1800 or 1800 to 0600. The first 10 hours is ordinary time plus two hours overtime per shift. Shift loadings and penalty rates are paid on top of the base rate e.g. night’s shifts (21.7%), Saturday (150%), Sunday (200%), public holidays (250%) with any addition hours worked outside of your roster subject to shift loadings and/ or penalty rates.

Responsibilities of this role are:

Action alarms received into our alarm monitoring automation software

Manage a high volume of outbound and inbound phone calls

Dispatch security patrol and emergency services

Provide a consistent high level of customer service

Data entry with an attention to detail

Basic technical support to end users

12 hour shifts on a 3 days on, 3 days off cycle, 10 hours will be ordinary time with 2 hours overtime per shift

Must be able obtain and maintain a Queensland Monitoring Security Licence

Skills and experience

Be able to prioritise and with good time management skills.

Strong customer service and communication experience

Solid literacy and numeracy skills with a high level of attention to detail

Proficient in all Microsoft applications

Competent touch typist with high level of accuracy

Able to communicate verbally and written to an extremely high standard

Technically savvy

Up for the challenge of a fast paced and changing industry
