We are currently seeking a Truss Detailer to join our growing team. This role is perfect for someone with a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills and experience in timber or steel truss and frame detailing. Virginia Building Supplies is a family owned business situated on the North side of Brisbane. We have been supplying Hardware, Structural timbers, Building products and manufacturing Roof Trusses, PreNail wall frames for over 35 years.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate truss production detail and layouts using detailing software (Pryda Software - Software programs available to transfer users from other systems to Pryda. Training from existing staff and Pryda help technicians

Interpret architectural and engineering plans

Communicate with builders, engineers and production teams

Ensure all design meet building codes, specifications and company standards

Assist in resolving on-site or design-related issues

Requirements

Experience in truss detailing (residential or commercial)

Proficiency in detailing software

Understanding of Australian building codes and construction practices

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and organizational abilities
