About the role

Permanent full time opportunity to support the planning, development and negotiation of procurement activities across Metro North Hospital and Health Service in a client focussed and transparent manner.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

• Support the Category Manager and/or Principal Procurement and Contracts Officer to provide a point of accountability and manage the deliverables of the relevant category.
• Protect the reputation of Metro North by ensuring the highest standard possible is achieved in delivering procurement activities adhering to probity, accountability and transparency principles.
• Undertake procurement activities in a manner that is compliant with local and system policy and procedure and ensure optimal procurement outcomes by maintaining a high level of communication, consultation and integrity.
• Propose innovative procurement solutions that reflect the market, activity risk, value and requirements of the customer.
