$100,000–$110,000 per annum

As we expand, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join our finance team. You'll be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of financial and management reporting across group’s entities. The role reports to the Financial Controller and supports strategic decision-making by delivering high-quality financial results, maintaining strong financial controls, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax obligations.

What You’ll Do
Financial Reporting & Compliance
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans
Assist in preparation of financial reports for senior management and board presentations
Assist in financing activities including loan compliance, covenant reporting, and funding drawdowns
Ensure compliance with all statutory, legal, and tax obligations including BAS, FBT, GST, and income tax
Project & Development Accounting
Maintain accurate cost tracking for multiple, concurrent developments
Monitor project budgets, actuals vs forecast, and cash flow requirements
Prepare Sales contracts, process invoices and ensure accurate tracking of home sales
Monitor debtor ageing and support collection processes
Respond and communicate with purchasers on any financial queries
General Ledger Management
Manage and maintain the integrity of the general ledger
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of journal entries
Assist in group consolidation and inter-company accounting
Reconciliation and recording of client deposits and builder payments (WIP accounting)
Audit & Risk Management
Coordinate and support annual audits
Implement and maintain strong internal controls across financial operations
Process Improvement & Systems
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in finance processes and systems.
Support system enhancements and automation of financial workflows.
Maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
About You
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience, property development or construction industry knowledge a plus.
Knowledge of AASB guidelines and Australian taxation laws.
Advanced proficiency in Xero and Excel
Working knowledge of CRM system such as Hubspot, Salesforce, etc. preferred

Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
