The Role
You’ll be a key part of the team ensuring the smooth operation of a high-spec facility. This is no ordinary building—it's packed with precision systems that are essential for housing sensitive pharma and scientific materials.
You'll be involved in the day-to-day oversight of systems such as ventilation, temperature control, alarms, lighting, as well as managing small repairs and coordinating contractors. It's an ideal fit for someone who’s hands-on, reliable, and loves working in a structured, technical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating external technicians and service providers on-site
- Monitoring and testing systems: temperature, airflow, power, and alarms
- Carrying out scheduled compliance and safety inspections
- Logging service requests, faults, and system reports
- Managing onsite maintenance tasks (e.g. locks, lighting, fittings)
- Overseeing stock and spare part inventory
- Participating in the on-call phone roster (every second week) with generous call-out pay
- Assisting with movement of stock up to 20kg (full PPE provided for cold zones)
- Monday to Friday full time work hours morning to afternoon

What We’re Looking For
You’re someone who enjoys understanding how things work - and making sure they keep working. Whether you’ve studied engineering, worked in maintenance, tinkered with AV systems, or just have a natural knack for practical problem-solving, we want to hear from you.
You’ll thrive here if you’re methodical, proactive, and comfortable working with technical systems in a regulated environment.
To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need:
- Experience with hands-on technical tasks (whether through work or personal projects)
- A background in engineering, trades, maintenance, AV, or related fields
- Strong attention to detail and solid organisational skills
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Comfort working in cleanroom or lab-style settings
- Willingness to occasionally work in cold storage areas (PPE provided)
- A positive attitude, team spirit, and commitment to reliability
- This is a 12 month fixed term contract role
