Flowbird’s local team supports Transport Ticketing systems and Parking Machine Operations across the county however, this role is to service several new Parking Maintenance Contracts particularly in Victoria and Tasmania.
What does a Parking Technician Level 2 do?
Primary responsibilities, and in no particular order
Proficient in all Flowbird parking back office applications, mobile applications, and hardware functionality/limitations to enhance technical knowledge so that technical projects can be assessed accurately.
Provide hands on maintenance and troubleshooting of parking machines
Provide support for all technical enquiries, issues, and projects.
Incident management, including remote and telephone support when required.
Provided technical help/advice to sales, project and customer service colleagues as required.
Ensure timely and professional responses are made to colleagues and external customers, and all commitments are met.
Attending customer meetings will be required occasionally, supporting the implementation of technical solutions, or liaising with field staff/customers to gain further knowledge to help resolve technical issues.
Take ownership of assigned technical tasks, both large and small.
Identify and understand the project objectives, scope, deliverables and measures of success. Define the project in terms of scope and time, and deliver within expected timeframes.
Prepare supporting documentation to support the business and customers in gaining a clear understanding of technical solutions.
Prepare project information and written reports as required.
Collaborate with the project delivery team, ensuring that all team members understand the project goals and take collective responsibility for delivering the project.
Support the technical elements of trade shows.
Setting up hardware configurations using modular components.
Create and understand software customisations based on XML.
Be able to thoroughly test Hardware and Software setups.
Understand Network setups - GPRS / Ethernet.
What else do you need for this role?
We’re a small team, so extra skills go a long way to becoming an integral part of our Australian business. As well as your parking technician skills we also need you to:
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Minimum of two years technical background/experience
Delivery of technical projects to internal customers; evidence of coordination of a project from start to finish preferred
Proficient in using Microsoft and Google equivalent applications, mainly in PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Excel
Coding/programming / SQL query language or similar at a basic level
A good level of Electromechanical and electronic Hardware knowledge
Server / Windows Knowledge, and knowledge of PC hardware/components
Knowledge of electrical/electronic and computer theory
Credit card Banking knowledge
Data Processing to produce complex results
Network Management
Produce Script
