Our client is a leading global logistics and freight company with a strong presence across Australia. They are committed to providing efficient, customer-focused services, and are currently seeking an experienced Transport Allocator to join their Brisbane-based team.

About the Role

WorkPac are seeking a skilled Transport Allocator (Scheduler) for an ongoing permanent position located at the Port of Brisbane. This role plays a crucial part in fleet planning and job allocation, ensuring smooth day-to-day transport operations. The successful candidate will work closely with drivers, warehouse staff, and internal stakeholders, and will be key in keeping operations running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Schedule fleet using VBS Booking system and Containerchain software to optimise capacity

Allocate and plan daily FCL deliveries and MT collections

Liaise with drivers, warehouse staff, and internal teams to coordinate smooth logistics

Monitor and maintain data accuracy for all freight movements

Participate in fleet maintenance planning

Prepare and plan for upcoming workdays

Skills and Experience Required

Minimum 3 years’ experience in container fleet allocation

Strong knowledge of equipment types, truck configurations, and job requirements

Understanding of Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management, and HML weight limits

Sound knowledge of Main Roads Regulations and PBS routes

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Proficient with transport management software and MS Office

Knowledge of Container Chain, MT Data, and 1Stop VBS (desirable)

High-level computer literacy and adaptability to new systems

Strong team player with ability to work independently
