About the role
We are looking to increase our team and require a standout, experienced Fleet Allocator. We are based in Hemmant providing easy access via the Gateway Motorway. Our office team average tenure is five years with Fleet Allocators an average of 8 years. People stay because this is an excellent place to work and be a part of a proud and focused team. Our Fleet Allocators ensure all fleet operations are met efficiently with maximum optimisation of vehicles, drivers, sub-contractors, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Planning, coordinating, and allocating deliveries and pickups ensuring the fleet is always utilised to its maximum efficiency and capacity.
Establish and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Communicate with clients and colleagues regarding wharf activities and delivery status updates (including wharf/traffic delays, delivery ETA’s etc.)
Continually strive to improve systems and processes in liaison with relevant stakeholders.
Ensure dangerous goods and load weights are in accordance with relevant legislation.
Ensure driver work schedules are following fatigue management regulations.
Responsible and accountable for a safe working environment reporting any safety incidents or concerns to direct line manager.
Record and escalate to direct line manager any issues or service requirements.
Ensure all relevant data is entered accurately into required systems (Systems: Freight Tracker, One Stop, Container Chain, Excel)
Promote positive customer relations, internal and external, and ensures that resources are being used effectively.

Skills and Experience
Transport or Logistics industry experience – 3 to 5 years
Experience across freight forwarders, stevedoring, wharf, imports/exports.
Fleet allocation and scheduling experience – 1 to 2 years
Sound geographical knowledge of Queensland roads
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Highly developed organisational and time management skills
Excellent customer relationship skills, internal and external.
