The Job

Ready to turn your admin skills into a building‑industry career? Bretts’ Commercial Hardware division and learn the ropes from some of the best project professionals in the state.
As a Project Administrator you will:

Be the organisational backbone for the General Manager and project team – managing emails, calls and calendars.

Prepare and distribute documents, schedules and progress reports that keep builders, suppliers and site teams on track.

Maintain project records and help chase purchase orders, quotes and deliveries.

Escalate delays early, keeping communication clear and professional with both colleagues and external partners.

This is a hands‑on learning role designed for someone with up to two years’ office or project support experience who is keen to step into the fast‑paced commercial construction environment. You will be mentored daily and see projects progress from tender to hand‑over.

Skills / Experience

We’re looking for potential and attitude first. Ideal candidates will bring:

Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration, Project Management or similar (current study welcomed).

Up to ~2 years in an administrative, customer‑service or project support role.

Confident Microsoft Office & Google Workspace skills; exposure to any project‑management or ERP tools a plus.

Strong organisation, time‑management and attention to detail – you like ticking off the list.

Clear written & verbal communication and the confidence to liaise with suppliers and site teams.

Queensland “C” Class Driver’s Licence (occasional supplier runs).

A proactive mindset and genuine interest in construction, locksmithing or commercial hardware.
