About the Role

The Principal Consultant ESU will provide balanced and risk conscious advice and support on complex people issues, by acting as an escalation point and providing coaching, guidance and support on complex case management and employment queries, including serious misconduct, long term absenteeism, disputes, complaints, conduct and performance management. This role will manage employment related claims and represent FRV in the Fair Work Commission and related employment tribunals. They will also support the Senior Manager Ethical Standards Unit in leading the team.

What you will need to Succeed

Previous experience in dispute resolution and workplace investigations;

Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team and apply sound working knowledge of employee relations legislation and principles including ethical standards, confidentiality, impartiality and sincerity in all working relationships;

highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills;

demonstrated experience in working with a range of internal stakeholders at all levels of the organisation;

well-developed organisational and process management skills;

sound judgment and risk management skills;

Tertiary qualification in HRM or Law desirable.
