About the role
We are a The Product Farmers, a new company to Australia (we have been wholesaling product to retailers in Europe for 20 years). Our products range from fashion accessories, to pet products.
We are a wholesale supplier; so our customers are retail stores. Our business is set up to offer stock products, as well as 'made to order' white-label products for retailers. They want it, we can make it ! We're great at product, but we're rubbish at sales and new business.
Your job is to find us retail store customers. This is from multiple vertical retailers, department stores, to indies such as gift stores and pharmacies.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Sales Manager to join our team. You need to be excited about product, full of ideas, and know who your customer is going to be. As a full-time Sales Manager, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic growth of our company.
You will initially be the only sales person for us in Australia, and as we grow you can build your own team.
You can be based anywhere in Australia, so long as you can get new retailers for the business.
What you'll be doing
Prospecting and identifying potential new clients throughout Australia
Conducting sales calls, presenting our products and services, and negotiating contracts
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients to drive repeat business
Providing exceptional customer service and addressing client inquiries and concerns
Tracking and reporting on sales activities and performance
Staying up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and new products or services
What we're looking for
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a sales or business development role, preferably in the New Business Development industry
Proven track record of successfully generating new leads and closing sales
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients
Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
Highly motivated, driven, and committed to achieving sales targets
