Description
Your responsibilities will include:
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: End-to-end processing of invoices, credit notes, and payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all transactions.
- Bank Reconciliations: Daily and monthly reconciliations to maintain clean ledgers and support financial reporting.
- Month-End Assistance: Supporting the finance team with journals, accruals, and reconciliations to close off each month smoothly.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborating with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve queries and ensure financial clarity.
- Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and improve accuracy in finance systems and reporting.
- You'll be working closely with a small, experienced finance team and reporting to the Finance Manager. The environment is fast-paced but supportive, with plenty of variety and autonomy in your day.
Profile
You're someone who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment and takes pride in getting the details right. You're not just looking for a job you want to be part of a business where your work matters and your ideas are heard.
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
- Solid transactional finance experience, ideally 2+ years in accounts payable, or receivables within a medium to large business.
- Strong attention to detail, you spot errors others miss and know how to fix them quickly and confidently.
- Ownership mindset, you take initiative, follow through, and don't wait to be told what needs doing.
- Experience using finance systems (SAP is advantagous)
- Adaptability you're comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift and no two days are the same.
- Bonus points if you've worked in transport, logistics, or another operationally intensive industry, but it's not essential.
