Description

Your responsibilities will include:

• Accounts Payable & Receivable: End-to-end processing of invoices, credit notes, and payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all transactions.
• Bank Reconciliations: Daily and monthly reconciliations to maintain clean ledgers and support financial reporting.
• Month-End Assistance: Supporting the finance team with journals, accruals, and reconciliations to close off each month smoothly.
• Stakeholder Communication: Collaborating with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve queries and ensure financial clarity.
• Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and improve accuracy in finance systems and reporting.
• You'll be working closely with a small, experienced finance team and reporting to the Finance Manager. The environment is fast-paced but supportive, with plenty of variety and autonomy in your day.

Profile

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

• Solid transactional finance experience, ideally 2+ years in accounts payable, or receivables within a medium to large business.
• Strong attention to detail, you spot errors others miss and know how to fix them quickly and confidently.
• Ownership mindset, you take initiative, follow through, and don't wait to be told what needs doing.
• Experience using finance systems (SAP is advantagous)
• Adaptability you're comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift and no two days are the same.
• Bonus points if you've worked in transport, logistics, or another operationally intensive industry, but it's not essential.
