About the role

Hone Recruitment has partnered exclusively with Leading Builder developers in Seq and is seeking a highly experienced and capable General Foreman to join the team in Brisbane, Queensland. This full-time position is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of our construction projects, overseeing the day-to-day operations and leading a team of skilled workers.

What you'll be doing

Coordinate and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines and budgets

Lead and motivate a team of workers, providing guidance, training and performance management

Liaise with project managers, clients and other stakeholders to communicate progress and address any issues or concerns

Oversee the allocation of resources, equipment and materials to maximise efficiency and productivity

Implement and maintain strict health, safety and environmental standards on the construction site

Monitor and report on project milestones, KPIs and any risks or challenges

Contribute to the continuous improvement of construction processes and procedures

What we're looking for

Extensive experience (5+ years) as a General Foreman or similar supervisory role in the construction industry

Proven track record of successfully delivering complex construction projects within time and budget constraints

Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate teams

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address issues as they arise

Thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, equipment and safety regulations

Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, drawings and specifications

Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in construction management or supervision
