An large, listed business with a global presence is seeking a Corporate Accountant to join their head office team in Macquarie Park on a full-time, intermediately, for a 3-month contract, however there is potential for permanency. With strong values and a collaborative culture, this is a great opportunity to work with a respected brand leading in its industry both locally and internationally.

Reporting to the Financial Controller and supporting the wider corporate finance and business partnering teams, this role plays a key part in driving accurate reporting, continuous improvement, and financial support across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post month-end journals (e.g., prepayments, accruals, intercompany recharges)
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and open item reporting
• Prepare general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations, including variance analysis
• Contribute to month-end close and reporting
• Prepare and post corporate overhead allocations
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement
• Provide backup support to the Financial Shared Services team
• Liaise with internal stakeholders (AP, AR, Payroll, IT, Supply Chain) and external partners (banks, auditors)

About You:

• Tertiary qualification in accounting or related field
• CPA or CA qualification or nearing completion
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Excellent communication skills and customer service mindset
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team
• Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups)
• ERP system experience
• A self-motivated, collaborative and improvement-focused mindset
