Established in 1982, Alzheimer’s WA provides care, support, awareness and information to assist people living with dementia, as well as their families and carers.

Our services include advocacy, education, partnerships, training, consultancy and holistic person-centred care programs, based on a philosophy of understanding the lived experiences of those living with dementia. We provide CHSP, HCP and NDIS packages and day/overnight respite in our four homes based in Perth, Mandurah and Albany.

Position Summary:
The Finance Analyst is responsible for analysis of Alzheimer's WA financial records to review and analyse business and financial processes, creating efficiencies, financial modelling, logical and analytical problem solving and supporting the requirements of Alzheimer's WA.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance Analysis responsibilities:

Creating charts, tables and graphs to present data in an effective format

Analysing financial data on organisational income and expenditure

Monitoring industry news and developments to identify potential opportunities and minimise risk within the organisation.

Prepare variance analysis of actual to budget at organisational, departmental, service and funder level.

Analysis of price, performances of the organisation compared to the industry and using them, make predictions or update pricing of the services.

Finance Planning responsibilities:

Preparation id annual budget for organisation

Undertake annual review of pricing for all funding lines and prepare unit costings

Create financial models to recommend business expansion, cost-cutting initiatives and /or remote revenue growth streams

Overseeing and managing the CRM administrator role

Ensure grant reporting requirements are compiled with DEX reporting and business data is reviewed before submission

Ad hoc duties as requested from ELT, Head of Finance and Operational Performance or Manger of Finance and Operational Performance

Risk and Business process improvement responsibilities:

Assist in developing and documenting business and financial process within Alzheimer's WA

Assist in review of internal processes and identify any weakness and recommend process improvement

Maintain and update Risk Register for the organisation. Prepare monthly for review by Finance and Risk Mangement

Qualifications & Knowledge

Bachelor's degree in accounting and commence or completed CPA/CA

Experience working as a Finance Analyst

Essential Experience

Prior recent experience in Finance Analysis field

Prior recent experience in Financial Reporting and business improvement areas

Advanced Excel skills

Experience with Microsoft BI

Skills and Abilities

Effective communication skills both verbal and written

The ability to work autonomously and in a team environment

Current Police Clearance

Desirable

Familiar with Finance Edge and Procura Software
