The Community Health Social Work (CHSW) North team offers just that - a dynamic, values-driven environment where your skills are valued, your wellbeing matters, and your professional growth is supported.

Our team delivers evidence-based, trauma-informed Social Work services to clients experiencing health-related or psychosocial stressors. We work across multiple community health centres and district hospitals throughout Northern Tasmania. From bustling Launceston to welcoming rural communities – Community Social Work gives you the opportunity to engage with a diverse range of people, places, and practices.

About the Role:

Based in Launceston, you’ll work with individuals and groups in the community, as well as provide outreach services to surrounding regions and district hospitals. Travel during work hours is fully supported with access to a fleet vehicle. What You’ll Bring:

You’ll be an experienced Social Worker with demonstrated skills in:

  • Therapeutic counselling or medium to long-term 1:1 Social Work intervention
  • Comprehensive psychosocial assessment, multidisciplinary collaboration, and care planning

This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in diverse, collaborative settings and is passionate about supporting people to build capacity, resilience, and meaningful change in their lives.
