About the role
This Project Manager, Defence will play a crucial role within the Defence Industry Skills Centre of Excellence, coordinating and delivering strategic projects that align with the Centre’s vision to support Australia's sovereign defence capability. This role will focus on managing Defence Industry related training initiatives, fostering collaboration between government bodies, industry stakeholders, and training providers to ensure the successful execution of project outcomes.

The Project Manager will oversee end-to-end project management activities, including planning, implementation, risk management, and evaluation. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) obligations, maintaining project timelines, preparing consolidated reports, and developing innovative solutions to address emerging skills needs within the Defence Industry sector.

The position will also involve actively engaging with stakeholders to strengthen relationships, promoting effective communication and collaboration, and contributing to the Centre's broader goals of delivering innovative training solutions to support Defence Industry workforce development.

To be successful in this role you will ideally have experience in project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects. This includes effectively managing resources, budgets, risks, and timelines within a structured framework.
