The Opportunity:
This role is ideally suited to someone who has a strong financial services/banking background, whether that be private, business, or commercial banking. This is a role which will give you significant autonomy, ability to provide value to a well maintained book of clients, and work closely with a director with over 20+ years in the banking sector.
What a day in the life would look like (with full support of the director):
Reconcile source documents provided by clients and identify information gaps.
Using source documents to build:
Detailed statement of positions
Group cashflows (extraction of tax returns and financial statements)
Security summaries
Group structures β entity key roles within a group from company searches and trust deeds
Tenancy schedules
Identify and mitigate key issues to be workshopped with lenders.
Scenario modelling to present to lenders.
Write client requirements and recommendations for compliance documents.
Assist in the production and presentation of compliance and application forms to clients.
Closely supervise administration support to build deals in software.
Submission of loan applications to lenders.
Follow up with lenders through the application and settlement processes.
Handling of loan offer documents.
Ensure post settlement file compliance tasks are completed.
Communication with clients throughout the loan origination process with updates and additional information requests.
Ongoing management and reprice of back book.
Assist in the building and documentation of an end-to-end loan process for self-employed, private and commercial clients.
The ideal candidate will bring:
Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance or Accounting (highly desirable)
3 β 5 yearsβ experience working as an Analyst supporting Private Bankers, Commercial Bankers or a broker with clients that fit this profile.
Strong understanding of financial statements & tax returns and ability to extract necessary information from them.
Desire to carve out a long term position in a growing business.
Ability to follow money trail through large, complex, multi-entity groups.
Ability to build statements of position from source documents.
Strong communication skills & a personable demeanor.
