We are a leading Crane & Loading Platform hire company based in Sydney, specializing in projects and services: e.g. infrastructure, industrial maintenance, logistics and construction. Safety, quality and teamwork define our success—and we’re looking for a dedicated crane operator to join our crew.
Position Overview
As our crane operator/all-rounder, you’ll operate a hydraulic crawler crane (CO license) to lift and move heavy materials across construction, industrial or logistics sites. You’ll also assist across general site duties, using your HR truck license and flexibility to support the team wherever needed.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate crawler cranes crane up to 100 tonne (CO license) for lifting tasks and material positioning.
Conduct daily pre‑operation checks, inspect crane components (cables, hydraulics, rigging gear), and report any faults
Coordinate with ground crew (Dogman, riggers) using hand signals or radio communication.
Assist with general tasks: materials handling, site housekeeping, vehicle operations using HR license.
Perform minor maintenance: cleaning, lubrication, rigging adjustments as needed
Complete and maintain accurate operational logs and compliance records.
Follow site-specific safety procedures, Safe Work Australia regulations, and AS standards.
Essential Requirements
CO high‑risk work license (slewing crane up to 100 t) and current HR (Heavy Rigid) license.
Minimum 2+ years experience operating mobile or slewing cranes in construction, mining or industrial settings
Proven ability to inspect, rig, and position loads safely, including counterweight "dressing & un-dressing"
Coordinate customer Operator Familiarisations, across our crane fleet.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Physically fit, with stamina for extended shifts and variable weather conditions.
Understanding of load charts, weight capacity limits, and site-specific risk management.
Clean driving record and valid licenses in line with state regulations. White Card, Working at Heights, Intermediate Rigging or Dogging ticket is an advantage
