We are seeking a faith-filled, inspirational and dynamic Deputy Principal & Learning Support Coordinator who believes that learning is life’s greatest adventure and is eager to challenge and foster the individual talents of each teacher and students to help them fulfil their potential. This dual role involves a mixture of classroom teaching and administrative leadership on a a permanent full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Student Wellbeing and Care – Foster student wellbeing by developing supportive structures and ensuring exceptional pastoral care inside and outside the classroom. Take leadership in resolving grievances within the school community and ensure strict compliance with Child Protection and Reporting policies. Maintain up-to-date knowledge and promptly report any concerns. Be able to refer parents to relevant support, as well as applying for NCCD funding requirements and processes.

  • Leadership - Provide servant-hearted leadership marked by humility and strong relational skills. Be an essential part of the KCS leadership team in managing the planning, delivery, evaluation, and improvement of education for all students. Report progress and evaluate the implementation of the school’s Strategic Improvement Plan (SIP). Lead change and innovation to promote excellence. Serve as a humble role model and take a leading role in the spiritual life of the Primary School. Ability to take on Acting Principal role when required.

  • Administration - Lead and manage teachers and Education Assistants (EAs), by developing a supportive, collegial environment and assisting with recruitment, deployment, and induction. Mentoring staff to improve and engage with contemporary teaching practices. Model the school’s mission and virtues. Manage the Primary School’s budget in collaboration with the principal and Business Manager. Take a lead role in NCCD funding documentation and administrative requirements around these processes.

Selection Criteria:

  • Proven leadership experience in educational settings, with a focus on collaboration, capacity-building and innovation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fostering positive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Shows leadership through effective, relational and timely communication.
  • Experience in administrative processes, documentation and adapting to a variety of reporting systems.
  • Commitment to the establishment and maintenance of quality relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider community.
  • Demonstrates a strong Christian faith, that supports and models the vision, mission and virtues of the school.
