About the role

Carneys Legal is a boutique law firm situated in the heart of the Sydney CBD. We are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join our tight-knit property law team. This is a part-time role, offering flexible hybrid working arrangements to balance your work and personal commitments. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding client service and supporting our conveyancing team in all aspects of residential and commercial property transactions.

What you'll be doing

Liaising with clients, real estate agents, lenders and other external stakeholders to facilitate smooth property transfers

Preparing and reviewing a range of conveyancing documents including contracts, transfers, and settlement statements

Conducting title and other property searches

Coordinating the exchange of contracts and settlement processes

Assisting with the completion of stamp duty and revenue office requirements

Attendances in the PEXA workspace

Providing exceptional client service and responding to client queries in a timely and professional manner

Supporting the conveyancing team with ad-hoc administrative tasks as required

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience in a conveyancing or property law role

Strong understanding of conveyancing processes and relevant legislation

Experience in using the PEXA interface

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

Exceptional communication and client service skills

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Flexible and adaptable approach to work
