Your new role

We have an opportunity for an individual to join our Facilities & Security team as Senior Security and Facilities Officer on a full-time, fixed term basis to 30 June 2026. Reporting to the Team Leader, the role will supervise the Facilities & Security team, who have responsibility for physical security, fleet management and facilities management, helping to ensure the protection of IBAC's staff and physical and material property.

Please note that this position is based at IBAC's Melbourne CBD office. Candidates will be required to work rostered shifts onsite between 7:00am and 7:30pm.

Duties include:

• Manage the team, reception function, coordinating rosters to ensure high standards of customer service with both internal and external clients.
• Oversee the provision of security & facilities duties, morning and afternoon routine security patrols on an as needed basis.
• Monitor and reporting of security incidents, business continuity planning support and responding to building management requirements.
• Coordination of planning and logistics security for IBAC head office function, and public and private hearings, (onsite / regional locations)
• Cost centre budget administration support, vendor and invoice tracking.
• Liaise with contractors as required, including establishing and managing projects, and ensuring compliance with Victorian Protective Data Security Standards and Occupational Health and Safety standards and regulations.

Our requirements / Your skill set

We are looking for candidates with the below experience and capabilities:

• Experience in administering security access management and CCTV systems.
• Demonstrated experience in managing a security reception function.
• Relevant qualifications in security and/or a related field is desirable.
• Knowledge and/or experience with legal proceedings and processes, including hearings, is desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality work with precision and accuracy.

Due to the requirement to attain a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance candidates must be an Australian citizen at the time of application.
