About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our dynamic team at the Assyrian Sports and Cultural Club Ltd' in Fairfield Heights, NSW. As a full-time Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality meals.

What you'll be doing

Overseeing the day-to-day kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and quality control

Collaborating with the management team to develop and implement innovative menu items that showcase your culinary expertise

Ensuring that all food safety and sanitation standards are met, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment

Training and mentoring junior kitchen staff to develop their skills and expertise

Fostering a positive and collaborative work culture within the kitchen team

What we're looking for

Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Chef in a similar hospitality or catering environment

Strong knowledge and understanding of modern Australian and Mediterranean cuisine, as well as a willingness to explore new culinary techniques and flavours

Excellent time management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene

Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
