Fencing Hardware Counter Salesperson

Our client is a leading provider of high-quality fencing products, specializing in durable and secure fencing systems for commercial properties. They are currently looking to bring a Counter Salesperson on the team. The role is a unique split between in-person and phone-based sales/customer service, so is a great opportunity for anyone looking to begin or grow their sales career.

Responsibilities:

• Handle inbound sales inquiries via phone and email, with prompt and professional communication
• Follow up with new and existing customers on quotes, leads, and orders
• Prepare and issue accurate quotations within 24 hours
• Process sales orders with precision and ensure same-day entry upon receiving purchase orders
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records and customer interactions
• Provide expert product advice and support based on customer needs
• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment
• Manage and action sales leads quickly and thoroughly
• Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities during the sales process
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock availability proactively

Essentials:

• Experience in internal sales, ideally within hardware, construction, or building supplies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
• Sound knowledge of fencing hardware - or a willingness to learn quickly
• Customer-first mindset, positive attitude, and team-oriented work ethic
