About the opportunity

The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is seeking a skilled Digital Designer to help migrate and improve existing online course content across our learning environments. You’ll work with educators and digital learning specialists to build interactive, engaging content. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Translating and transitioning existing course materials into a new Learning Management System (LMS) environment (Blackboard Ultra) using tools like H5P and Adobe Creative Cloud.

  • Applying Universal Design for Learning principles (UDL) to enhance student engagement and progression.
About you

You’re a digital design professional with a strong foundation in instructional design and a passion for creating engaging, student-centred learning experiences. You thrive in collaborative environments and know how to work creatively within the boundaries of a LMS, balancing innovation with practicality, enjoying the challenge of transforming complex content into clear, accessible online materials that support student success.

More specifically, you will have:

  • A relevant qualification and experience developing learning resources in a tertiary education setting, or equivalent.
  • Skilled in using multimedia and educational technologies, with a sound understanding of online design and learning principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and familiarity with quality assurance practices in higher education.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders and support enhancements to learning content.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and experience with interactive learning tools.
