About the role
Our Community Access roles are classified under the Social Community Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award as Home Care Employee Level 2 ($34.66-$34.68)
We are seeking experienced Female Disability Support Workers.
The role will include providing quality Community Access support services to participants. This could include providing assistance with daily living and domestic duties or accompanying participants to appointments or day activities. You will require a comprehensively insured and reliable vehicle, along with an unrestricted driver's licence.
This role specifies Disability Support Worker roles for persons of a particular sex to meet the needs of the participants in accordance with an exemption granted from sections 8, 10, 25, 27 & 51 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).

Skills and Experience
Certificate III in Home Care or Disability Services or equivalent and/or equivalent experience in the home care or disability sectors
Demonstrated ability to complete job tasks in accordance with participant plans in a timely manner
Ability to develop and maintain positive, dignified and respectful relationships with NDIS participants, their families and carers
Ability to use clear and concise language in verbal communication
Demonstrated ability to calmly de-escalate emotive situations
Ability to apply understanding of ‘duty of care’ to delivering support services and escalate issues when needed
Demonstrated ability to write and maintain accurate records and documentation
Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical
