At the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, we are connecting South Australia to keep our State moving. We are responsible for delivering a multi-billion-dollar pipeline of transformative transport and social infrastructure projects, operating and maintaining thousands of kilometres of roads and managing our city's public transport network. Our work encompasses every part of our State; from our cities to our regions, connecting and strengthening community. We value diversity and inclusion and foster an environment of collaboration, flexibility, and support for our people.
The Information Services Directorate sits within the People and Corporate Services Division and provides integral services in the information and communication technology space to the entire Department. Information Services partner with our customers and stakeholders to support and drive the development of innovative, digital, and customer-focused outcomes and services.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in the Cloud and Infrastructure Services Team within our Information Services Directorate. You'll be at the forefront of delivering compute and storage services - ensuring critical infrastructure and applications run smoothly and securely.
You'll lead a small, dedicated team, while working closely with vendors and contractors to coordinate their efforts in managing and optimising our infrastructure. Your responsibilities will extend to developing and maintaining our compute and storage environments, overseeing backup and disaster recovery processes, and managing third-party work requests related to infrastructure.
This is your chance to make a real impact by supporting both physical and cloud-hosted environments, while actively contributing to a safe, inclusive, and healthy workplace. Every day brings a new challenge - and a new opportunity to shape the systems that support our agency's success.
About You
You're a collaborative leader with deep technical expertise in hybrid infrastructure environments -- someone who thrives on solving complex problems and delivering dependable services.
You bring a strategic mindset, strong organisational skills, and a passion for working across teams and vendors to make things happen. You're just as comfortable getting into the technical detail as you are coordinating people and processes
Most importantly, you're driven by the idea of making a difference -- building systems that matter, in an organisation that values innovation, integrity, and teamwork.
If you're ready to take the next step in your career and be part of a high-performing, future-focused team -- we'd love to hear from you.
