ABOUT THE POSITION.

Join a respected Local Government authority and make an immediate impact in a dedicated and high-performing engineering team. As a Development Engineer, you'll work closely with internal stakeholders, external contractors, and the broader community to assess development applications and permits - ensuring compliance with local regulations and high standards of service delivery.

DUTIES.

• Assess drainage and flooding aspects of development applications
• Provide administrative support and manage records for the Drainage Development Assessment team
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on development matters
• Maintain accurate records and complete tasks in TechOne and CM9 within required timeframes
• Respond to enquiries and correspondence promptly, ensuring compliance with Council procedures
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and work independently with minimal supervision

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.

• Degree in Civil Engineering or similar
• Council experience in development engineering desirable but not mandatory
• Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
• Proficient in MS Office, TechOne, CM9, and GIS
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and works well independently and in a team
