About the Role
As a Cadet Development Control Engineer, you will:
Prioritise safety in all work and site activities.
Assess basic development applications and advise the Team Leader on engineering consent or refusal.
Issue permits for construction affecting Council infrastructure and ensure appropriate fees are collected.
Assist with supervising developer activities on Council assets, including roadways and reserves.
Conduct Damage Deposit Inspections and follow up on any asset damage with developers or owners.
Manage administration related to Damage Deposits, including recommending bond and deposit releases
What You’ll Bring
Currently studying towards a Civil Engineering degree with at least two years completed
Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply research to practical solutions
Effective communication skills for engaging with professionals, stakeholders, and community members
General computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel
A willingness to learn and deliver quality outcomes in a customer-focused team environment
Current NSW Class C Driver’s Licence
Desirable
Basic knowledge of vehicle crossing design
