About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the CaFHS team as a Psychologist/Social Worker, where you will be responsible for:
- Provide specialist psychotherapeutic services to individuals, families, and groups, with a focus on early parenting and support for infants and children at moderate to high risk.
- Support and guide CaFHS staff in areas such as parent-child relationships, child development, social-emotional wellbeing, and child protection.
- Deliver professional assessments, referrals, and consultation within a multidisciplinary team setting.
- Liaise closely with CaFHS teams and external agencies to ensure coordinated, family-centred care.
- Develop and deliver resources and training to staff and the broader community in areas related to early childhood and family health.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification and general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. Registration must be obtained prior to commencement in position
- OR; Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Provide assessment and intervention with infants, young children and families, including culturally and linguistically diverse families and families at moderate to high risk.
- Work independently with a high degree of responsibility within the structure of regular supervision and direction.
- Experience in providing high quality individual and group therapy with parents and infants (0-3 years).
- Specialist knowledge of infant and child development, psychological and social issues affecting young children’s development and in particular attachment theory and practice
