About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the CAMHS – Northern Metro team as a Clinical Psychologist, where you will be responsible for:
- A direct clinical case load.
- Demonstrating competency in a range of evidence based therapeutic interventions.
- Implement evidenced-based individual, family and/or other group therapies and other specific programs using a range of models and skills as a single practitioner and/or as part of a multidisciplinary approach.
- Act as a consultant and resource person to CAMHS, other agencies and the community.
- Promote access and equity of services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people and their families.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification in Masters of Clinical Psychology or Health Psychology recognised by the PsyBA and general registration with the PsyBA, or Provisional Registration with the PsyBA.
- Clinical experience in the treatment and management of complex child and adolescent mental health issues.
- Demonstrated ability to implement clinical assessments and interventions of a complex nature in relation to children and adolescents experiencing mental health issues, and their families using a range of theoretical models.
- Communicate and work with other professionals, facilitate group functions and work as a team member.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the theory and practice of clinical work within psychology, including group or family work.
- Demonstrated commitment to the development of personal and professional skills.
