Who we are looking for
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Case Worker who is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and passionate about supporting people impacted by institutional childhood sexual abuse to access justice and healing through the National Redress Scheme.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Tertiary qualification (AQF Level 7) in Social Work, Psychology or related discipline or demonstrated knowledge and competencies appropriate to the work.
- Experience working with complex client matters.
- Experience in trauma informed practice.
It would be a bonus if you have:
- Experience working with clients who have experienced Out-of-Home-Care.
- Experience in community engagement.
- Experience working with individuals, couples or families in a therapeutic context.
What you will be doing
- Provide services in alignment with the Redress Support Service Activity Work Plan and Case Practice Manual
- Provide a direct service response to clients through referral, advocacy, and collaborative case management.
- Assist with collaborative responses to complex client matters through evidence-based practices including, universal holistic screening and risk assessment utilising the Detection of Overall Risk Screen (DOORS) tool and Restorative Practice approaches to achieve client outcomes.
- Utilise skills and knowledge in facilitating access to services and promoting a safe and respectful space for all clients and staff, continuously developing these skills.
- Provide efficient and accountable services and contribute to quantitative and qualitative reporting, materials and delivery standards through timely and accurate use of the Penelope client information system to record all case work activity.
