Are you customer-focused, hands-on, and eager to grow within a fast-paced, niche industry? Calce Company is on the lookout for a passionate Sales Assistant to join our team – someone who’s equally comfortable chatting with customers in the showroom as they are loading materials in the warehouse.

This is a unique, multi-faceted role offering variety in your day-to-day tasks, training in beautiful Italian plaster finishes, and the opportunity to work with a dynamic and supportive team.

About the Role

You’ll be working full-time (40 hours/week) within rostered hours between 7:00am and 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. Your role will be split between warehouse operations and customer service in our stylish showroom.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Building strong relationships with our loyal trade customers

Responding to customer enquiries with warmth and efficiency

Preparing quotes for technical products and custom solutions

Loading/unloading trucks and shipping containers using a forklift

Assisting with in-store displays and maintaining a clean, inviting showroom

What We’re Looking For

We’re after someone with a great attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine interest in learning the ins and outs of a specialist trade. You'll be part of a tight-knit team where no two days are the same.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

Previous customer service experience – essential

Confidence, initiative, and a can-do attitude

Ability to lift 20–25kg safely and regularly

A collaborative team spirit and the ability to work independently

Strong time management and planning skills

High attention to safety and detail

Willingness to learn and grow in a niche industry

A valid forklift licence (preferred but not essential – training can be provided)
