About the role

The Administration Assistant with Hospital in the Home is a professional worker with high level administrative skills who provides administration services within this Care @ Home program. Hospital in the Home is an acute, fast paced inpatient ward covering multiple Eastern Health sites, using multiple computer systems.

The role will provide and promote customer service focused, clerical and reception related services to support patients, clinical staff and a multidisciplinary team, striving to achieve optimal patient outcomes, adhering to code of conduct, policies and procedures, values and goals of Eastern Health.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Experience in iPM, EMR, HMS/Harrison is highly desirable.
• Working in previous Health Care environment
• Familiarity with all computer software packages used within an administrative role e.g. Microsoft office - Word, PowerPoint, Excel, One Drive etc
• Time management capabilities and ability to work to a deadline
• Highly developed interpersonal skills
• The ability to work independently and be able to problem solve.
• A strong commitment to high quality care
• The ability to work as part of a diverse team
• Excellent communication and organisational skills

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
