How ‘bout we cut straight to the deal? Our small business is located in Greta, NSW. We are biased — but we are pretty sure we are the coolest place to work for, ever. And we really believe that we are changing the Air Conditioning world (you will see what we mean when you check out our website!). Honestly, the job is not all roses and puppy dogs — there is some good news and there is some bad news. Let’s get the bad news out of the way first: The pay sucks, meaning, you won’t become a millionaire at Coalfields. The pay will be as per Level 1: Clerks - Private Sector Award (MA00002), you will have some extra spending money for sure, however if you are seeking a job to support a yacht sailing, world travelling, mansion buying lifestyle this is no longer the ”coolest” part time client consultant job ever, it is now the “suckiest” part time client consultant job ever.

THE GOOD STUFF

Now let’s talk about the good stuff: 1. Our office is based in Greta just 30 minutes from Newcastle. Just think of the amazing country drive to work everyday. Think of the wind down time on your way home from work - yeah, that’s right, basically free uninterrupted alone time on your drive, daily…! Okay, so that part is maybe not the greatest, but there are some (truly) great things...

2. The work is fun, fresh and dynamic. You will be working directly for our founder, Brendan, and helping him with a mix of projects and supporting our Clients from Go to Woah. We cover Commercial to Residential Air Conditioning, servicing, repair, installation and maintenance. You won’t have to worry about pesky domestic fridges or appliances! We just want you to help our clients out with getting to know them, what they need and ensuring their experience with us is smooth and easy!

3. We aren’t big on stress. Except during the summer months where we really push the boundaries. So, while we will expect you to work efficiently and get things done, we focus on open communication and getting things done right the first go around.

4. It is part time, while the start & finish time may be flexible it is 5 hours a day, Monday to Friday gig. We will work with your schedule to get a routine that works for you, let's get that balance right. We are big on family so, kids have a school concert… no problem, let's work it out!

HOW WE WORK!

5. You will experience things, do things, and make decisions on things that no big stuffy company would ever allow you to do. You will be able to give input and design the work that you do, in your favoured areas. We want you to bring new, fresh and exciting ideas to share.

6. After a year here, (or less if you do amazing) you get regular pay reviews (Chaching-ga!!!) and take a share in the awesome benefits! Hellz yeah, you read that right!!! All of our team access some cool benefits, let's not give too much away, but how would you like your birthday off?

7. We are a small social group that love a good catch up, a meal and a few drinks, we try and get together and do something fun. You don’t need to be skilled at roller skating, laser tag or bowling, but you will likely engage in social activities.

THE SERIOUS STUFF LOL

Now, let’s talk about the job requirements: 1. You need to be the type of person who gets joy out of getting things done correctly. Every day, you will bang out your jobs, make our clients stoked with your work and rave about you. You will do fun stuff. Important stuff. Necessary stuff. 2. You will be on the phone a lot and spending most of your time chatting with our awesome clients. So, an understanding of social expectations, outstanding communication, patience and technology skills including apps, and other computer-based stuff will be necessary. 3. You will be liaising with people alot. So, you need to enjoy talking with people, giving/getting directions, sharing your advice and giving your 2 cents worth. 4. You need to be a person who loves to deliver remarkable experiences to other people. You know, you need to be someone who feels good by making other people feel good. 5. You need to nail down the details. You don’t need to race through work and get things done half-assed (we figured that one out ourselves). We need you to slow things down and get them done right. 6. We want you to be meticulous in your work. If you are shy or quiet (which actually sounds perfect for us) that is totally cool. We are not looking for the life of the party…in fact, quite the opposite. We are looking for a good, fun person, who gets $hit done. (Oh and we occasionally swear at the office…not much…but sometimes a joke is only funny with an F-bomb). In short, your job is to help Brendan and the team in any way you can and to have fun at work (who wants a job that isn’t fun?!?). Our office is casual, but we do expect professionalism, punctuality and to be a go getter! Our office may just feature you sometimes, our team is mobile so don’t expect a raving office, so pumping out tunes of your choice is completely cool.

But what we don’t expect is your existing skills to be perfect for you to qualify for this job. We can teach you that. We expect intelligence, energy, and a get it done, get it right attitude. But if you prefer compensation (and we totally get it…we prefer getting paid as well) this is what we offer: This is a part time Client Consultant job. The pay will be as per Level 1: Clerks - Private Sector Award (MA00002), with hours being 5 hours a day, Monday to Friday. You must come into our Greta Office (sorry, but this is not a virtual job).
