With a market-leading position in Australia and New Zealand — and growing international ambitions — we’re expanding fast and looking for a Software Development Technical Lead to join our head office team in Perth.

The Role

This is a hands-on, in-office technical leadership role reporting to the Senior Development Manager. You’ll lead a high-calibre team working across our full technology stack — from smart cameras and embedded edge hardware to cloud dashboards and mobile apps.

You will:

Take end-to-end technical ownership of features across embedded firmware, APIs, and frontend UIs

Shape architectural decisions, review code, and mentor engineers

Contribute directly to production code and help deliver reliable, scalable systems used daily by customers

This is not a hands-off management position — you’ll lead from the front, solve real problems, and stay close to the code.

Embedded / Edge: NVIDIA Jetson, Yocto Linux, Python, Embedded C/C++, Rust

DevOps & Infra: AWS Greengrass, Mender

What You’ll Be Doing

Provide day-to-day technical leadership to a high-performing in-house development team

Architect and implement scalable, maintainable systems across the full stack

Conduct code reviews and drive engineering best practices

Mentor junior and mid-level developers

Collaborate closely with hardware, product, and operations teams

Own the successful delivery of software aligned with customer and business outcomes

About You

7+ years of professional software development experience (preferred)

2+ years in a technical leadership or senior developer role — formal title not essential

Hands-on experience with backend, frontend, and Linux-based environments

Familiarity with our tech stack is a bonus — not a requirement

Able to design software architecture, lead projects, and ship high-quality code

Comfortable working across the full stack — from UI to device-level code

Excellent communicator who can align technical output with product direction

Must have full Australian work rights

This is a fully in-office role based in Perth, WA
