Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented administrator to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid understanding of the residential construction process either from a pre site or onsite background preferably from retail builds.
Reporting to the Construction Administration Manager the responsibilities of the day to day duties are :
- Provide a high level of service to all customers, ensuring customers are kept informed fortnightly of job progress and responding to their enquiries efficiently
- Work cohesively on all administration functions and with other departments to ensure job flow time frames are achieved and updating workflow records accordingly;
- Assist Permits with the overall relationship and communication process with other professionals including but not limited to, Councils, Private Certifiers, Engineers, Surveyors and suppliers;
- Assist with obtaining building approval for construction commencement for each home;
- Ensure all dates, details and records are updated in Job Flow Management programs and Customer Files in accordance with processes; (On Site Companion)
- Manage customer relationship issues, provide support to customers and resolve matters where required or when necessary escalate to management for direction;
- Manage workflow activity completion and priority management for all client jobs.
- Collate construction Certificates, Form 21 and Handover Packs.
- Assist Construction Supervisors in facilitating PC inspections and Handover appointments with clients.
The ideal candidate will posses to the following :
- Worked in a fast paced admin/customer service role within the volume building industry
- Experience and ability to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment and adapting work practices to suit.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and ensure agreed timeframes are met.
- Ability to deal with clients and difficult situations over the telephone and successfully handle complaints
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent IT skills including speed and accuracy.
- Strong conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to multi-task under pressure whilst still meeting set deadlines.
- Advanced time management and organisation skills.
- Proficient in onsite companion ( preferred )
- Backed with good references
