Hussey & Co, established in 1975, are renowned for producing Australia’s finest gourmet baby leaf salad mixes.

We are looking for a professional to join our growing agricultural business in Newry. Reporting to the Cool Room Manager, this position requires the successful applicant to have prior experience as well as high energy levels, personal resilience and the ability to think on your feet.

Ordinary hours of work will vary based on harvest operations. The successful applicant will need to be flexible to work weekends if necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

Operating medium rigid truck during harvest between our Bushy Park and Newry farm.

Operating forklift during harvest either loading/unloading bins, weighing off product or working in coolroom on our Vac cooler when required.

Completing pre starts for all assets through the company Mex app.

Reporting daily operation details through company WhatsApp groups.

Keeping the truck/forklifts clean and in a respectful manner

Ensuring any maintenance issues/service needs are escalated to management and the maintenance department.

Ensuring the truck is fuelled during and at end of all shifts

Ensuring product is loaded and unloaded correctly

Loading and unloading of bins onto the truck and harvester

Liaising with the team regarding product and bins on the truck

Completing routine cleaning tasks around the coolroom/bushy park farm when required.

Key Requirements:

Australian MR Drivers Licence

Forklift Licence – preferred not required.
