The Alice Springs Steiner School is seeking a creative, committed, and enthusiastic Class 1 Teacher to join our team in 2026. Located on Arrernte Country, just 10 minutes from Mparntwe / Alice Springs, we offer a unique opportunity to teach in a culturally rich, nature-connected environment with strong collegial support.
Key Details
Position: Full-time, 3-year teaching commitment (with potential to continue through to Class 7)
Salary: $92,215 – $131,349 (based on experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Relocation Support: $5000 allowance
About the Role
As a Class 1 Teacher, you’ll:
Take academic and pastoral care of a primary class.
Deliver lessons aligned with the Australian Steiner Curriculum Framework.
Be supported by experienced assistants and a Learning Support Coordinator.
Engage deeply in Steiner pedagogy and professional development.
Prepare for and participate in seasonal festivals, artistic work, and class activities.

Essential Requirements
Ability to register with the Teacher Registration Board NT
