About Yipirinya School:
Yipirinya School is a unique, community-founded Independent school in Mparntwe (Alice Springs). Established in 1978 by Town Camp Elders, Yipirinya was created so Aboriginal children could receive an education that respected both culture and country.

Today, Yipirinya is one of the only schools in Australia teaching in four Aboriginal languages—Western Arrernte, Warlpiri, Luritja, and Central Arrernte —alongside the Australian Curriculum. Our two-way learning approach empowers students to walk strong in both worlds.

We provide a safe, inclusive and culturally rich environment for students from town camps and remote communities. We strongly focus on fostering Teaching and Learning at Yipirinya. About the Role:
We’re looking for a passionate, flexible and dedicated Primary School Classroom Teacher to join our team. You’ll work closely with Aboriginal educators, language teachers, and staff to support learning that is academically strong.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons aligned to the Australian Curriculum

Create a calm, supportive and trauma-informed classroom environment

Differentiate learning to meet diverse student needs

Collaborate with Aboriginal language and culture teachers

Contribute to whole-school wellbeing and positive behaviour practices

Essential Criteria

Bachelor of Education (Primary) or equivalent

NT Teacher Registration

Working With Children Clearance (Ochre Card)

Passion for supporting Aboriginal students and communities
