Salary and Features of the position:

• Salary Range : $140,000–$185,000 ex super

About the position:
Our client is looking for a Senior Associate to join our clients’ team, managing a diverse portfolio of planning, environment and local government matters. You will:

• Provide strategic advice and transactional support to private developers and local councils
• Act as lead litigator in the NSW Land & Environment Court (merit appeals, judicial review, enforcement proceedings)
• Collaborate with senior partners on high-value projects, refining your advocacy and commercial skills

This role offers the chance to advance your career by working on challenging, high-impact files alongside industry leaders.
Key Requirements:

• 5 years’ NSW PAE in planning, environment & local government law
• Proven adviser and litigator in the Land & Environment Court (merit appeals, judicial review, civil & criminal enforcement)
• Admission as a lawyer in New South Wales; LL.B or J.D. (or equivalent)
• Exceptional client-management skills and stakeholder relationship building
• Advanced analytical thinking, sound judgment and leadership ability
• Outstanding written and verbal communication, clearly articulating complex arguments
• Demonstrated mentoring and team-leadership in a collaborative environment
