Part time accountant for growing public accounting and taxation practice. Adcock Accounting is located in Manunda, Cairns Queensland, services clients in all industry types in the local region and as far away as Thursday Island and Brisbane.

The practice has experienced substantial growth in the past 12 to 18 months and requires the services of a part time accountant.

The candidate must possess the following skills:

be highly motivated

must be able to work without supervision

have at least 3 to 5 years experience in a similar role

Strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation, BAS preparation, and experience with tax returns for various business structures

have excellent communication skills

Proficient in Xero, including tax and accounting modules, MYOB, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CA/CPA qualification (or actively pursuing)

Must have current right to work in Australia
