About the Role

Due to continued growth, we are currently looking to add a qualified and experienced Estimator to our team. This role is responsible for providing accurate and timely estimates for numerous government tenders and ongoing maintenance projects across Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities include:

Assisting managers with project planning and organising maintenance and refurbishment projects

Attending client meeting and identifying/determining client requirements

Collecting data using surveying instruments and equipment

Interpreting plans, and developing product knowledge, to produce accurate preliminary estimates

Calculating costs and estimating time scales

Liaising with subcontractors to ensure a full understanding of the required scope of work and ensuring completion as expected

Reviewing and negotiating variations and following-up during project completion to ensure costs remain within estimated budget

About You

To be successful in this role you will be a self-motivated individual that is able to positively contribute to our company’s high personal and professional standards. You are an energetic and driven professional with thorough knowledge of estimating within our industry.

Essential Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years' maintenance and refurbishment industry experience including estimating.

Proficient in Excel, and Office and comfortable learning new applications

Meticulous and accurate nature with the ability to create scopes for existing buildings

Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to develop and maintain client Relationships

Ability to cope with pressure and manage time effectively

Current unrestricted Australian driver's licence and reliable vehicle

Ability to travel to sites across Melbourne as required

Valid national police check and current Working with Children Check
