MEGT in partnership with Orica Kooragang Island are on the lookout for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and hardworking individual as a 1st Year Mechanical Fitter Apprentice. Start your journey alongside seasoned professionals, learning the trade hands-on. This position is for a start date in January 2025.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Fitting and machining in the Ammonia and Nitrates plants
• Broad exposure to machining and fitting
• Maintenance and installation tasks like pumps, valves, and machinery
• Plant shutdowns across the site

To be considered for this opportunity ideally you will have:

• Strong attention to detail
• Mechanical and mathematical aptitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Safety awareness and long-term career commitment
• Reliability, initiative, and adaptability
• Certificate II in Engineering & White Card (preferred)
• Driver's license and own transport (preferred)
